Casting
Killer Character – We are 99% certain we will be Using Jamie Fisher as our killer character who is going to be called …………. We will be using him as he is tall and also he does sport and as we will be doing many takes of the chases scene we will need some one who will be able to run at the same pace with no laps in speed and also no tiredness show as he may seem slow in one part but then real quick the next second. He also lives very local and he is a very calm person who will be able to talk to but will not muck around that much as he know some of us. He also lives near by.
Female Character – We are not that certain who we will be using but it is between Grace Birchill or Maisie East. We are wanting to use them iver of them because Grace does Drama for AS level and Maisie has been used before in a BTEC film. They also do sport quite a bit so they will be both able to do the chase scene over and over again as we will want to do it from many shots. Grace lives near by but |Maisie live a little while away but I sure one of us could pick her up.
The Parents – We will be using great camera trick as none of our parents want to do it. We will be using feet of some people in our group and just the words “ bye darling” or some think bye that with may be a quick sweepy pan of TV on. It will be easy as we will probably use some feet of any one in our group.
Other characters – We should not be using anyone else but we might just have a few local people in the film as they go around doing there day to day life. We would like to have no one in our film because that would create a better atmosphere and at would give the allusion of isolation and desolation.

Give reasons for your choice of characters and link to conventions and thrillers you have studied.
ReplyDeletewe chose to have a killer character as most of convention thriller films include them, they also where black to assoicate them danger. Jamie being tall adds to the dominates over the younger girl charatcer. Thriller film include many of killer being physcho and they also stalk the more naive character.
ReplyDeletehaving Grace as our naive girl works well. As in most thriller films it is convention to have innocent character for the audience to symathise which makes it more obvious which character is who. her age and her look again make the audience more sympathetic especially when she could get hurt.
Parents in this scene dont need to be shot but their voices in the background make her seem typical teenage girl leading a normal life. this makes the audience relate to her daily rountine.
